​​Outstanding Optics

Upholding the apochromatic design, the Askar 1x Flattener for the 140 APO Triplet Refractor contains three lens elements for superb quality. Supporting a full frame 44mm image circle, this field flattener corrects curvature around the edges of the image, resulting in the sharpest of stars and erasure of coma. This Askar flattener does not alter the focal ratio or the focal length of the 140 APO refractor in any way, and maintains its native f 7 speed and 980mm focal length.

All of the Necessary Adapters

This Askar 1x Flattener offers multiple points of connection through its numerous included adapters. The front thread utilizes a M84*1 thread, allowing you to connect this flattener to your telescope. On the camera side, three different adapters are present to allow you to achieve the perfect backfocus. A M68*1, M54*0.75, and M48*0.75 offers incredible versatility, allowing you to attach numerous different optical assemblies into your imaging train. An additional M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread allows for your filters to be threaded directly into your telescope! Its robust CNC machined body instills great stability and security within your optical system.
